Buffalo State University (Hospitality Administration)

Hospitality administration majors are prepared for careers in the hospitality industry as managers of hotels, resorts, restaurants, and tourist destinations.

Recent graduates have been hired as food service and catering managers, international travel consultants, hotel front-desk managers, restaurant managers, executive sous chefs, sales coordinators, and purchasing agents. Typical hiring firms include national and international restaurants and hotels, convention centers, tourist destinations, and institutions such as schools and colleges. Entrepreneurial students may open their own restaurants.

Students may attend graduate school to earn a master of business administration (M.B.A.) or another advanced degree.

Recent graduates have been hired by companies such as the Adam's Mark; AAA; Buffalo Club; Buffalo Hotel Supply Company; Hyatt Hotels and Resorts; Marriott Hotels, Resorts, and Suites; and T.G.I. Friday's.
