Chippewa Valley Technical College (Hotel and Restaurant Management)

The Hotel and Restaurant Management program provides the skills and understanding necessary for working with the lodging, food-service, and tourism industry. Classroom learning is supplemented by a variety of field trips, a student-operated restaurant and deli operation, and on-the-job training. The student is prepared for entry-level management positions with training in:

• guest service relations
• hotel operations
• commercial food and beverage operations
• dining room service
• supervision
• management concepts
• promotions and marketing
• cost and sales control
• purchasing and inventory
• event planning
• tourism

All graduates will earn the National Restaurant Association Applied Food Service Sanitation certificate which allows students to become a Wisconsin Certified Food Manager. Graduates will also receive the Responsible Beverage Certificate that allows students to become a licensed bartender.
