Creative Castle- Art and Cooking Classes for Children

At Creative Castle we offer creative, multi-media art, cooking and photography classes for children 18 months to 13 years designed to help build self-confidence, encourage independent thinking, develop problem solving skills, enhance individual focus, concentration and fine motor skills.

Our art classes for children are based on age-appropriate, open-ended creative art rather than crafts. We focus on the process rather than the end product, which encourages individual self expression and creative exploration.

Holly Maybruck has worked in the Graphic Design field for over fifteen years. As an artist and the mother of a first grader she understands the importance of introducing art and creative exploration to children at a very early age. She is very excited to be able to offer age appropriate creative art classes to young children in Fairfield County, CT.

Holly's daughter, Sarah was her inspiration for starting an art program for children that teaches art in an age appropriate and developmentally appropriate manner. So many children are turned off of art because they are introduced to it in the wrong way mostly by adults that have "adult" expectations of what art should be. Art is another language of expression and should be done at each child's own level.
