El Paso County Community College (Food Service: Culinary Arts)




The Food Service - Restaurant Management degree program prepares students for entry-level employment in management. The program includes marketing, advertising, sales and management applications of computers. The Restaurant Management A.A.S. provides a curriculum designed for current employees in commercial and institutional food service establishments who are pursuing advancement in the industry and for current supervisory personnel to increase their managerial skills. This program may provide non-food service persons the knowledge applicable to entry-level supervisory positions in either commercial or institutional facilities and assist those who intend to open their own restaurants. The capstone experience course for the Certificate of Completion is CULA 2380, Cooperative Education - Culinary Arts/Chef Training I. The capstone experience course for the AAS degree is CULA 2265, Practicum (or Field Experience) - Culinary Arts/Chef Training II.
