Food for Film
Jackie offers private, hands-on food and beverage styling instruction for serious students only. Private classes can be scheduled at your own convenience and are based on an 8 hour day, for as many days as you require. All students receive the class companion book, "Food Styling Essentials and Trade Secrets Revealed", written by Jacqueline Buckner. The hands-on curriculum and reading material cover all of the equipment and tools of the trade, special fx such as flame, steam and frost, real and artificial ice cream, pizza, grill marking, poultry, eggs, wraps and much, much more. Private classes can also be customized to suit your own specific needs and goals.
All private classes take place in a professional photography studio and can also include an optional day of photography. Work on a set with a commercial food photographer and style up to 3 photographs for your portfolio. You will have the opportunity to experience how a professional camera "sees", work on a live set taking direction, learn about shoot planning and prep work, experience hands on styling and select your own backgrounds and props, all in the most supportive and positive environment you can imagine.
After your class you will be supported through three months of shoot project and self marketing consultation free of charge, because we are serious about mentoring you to be successful in this highly competitive field.
