Ivy Tech Community College Northeast (Hospitality Administration)

Hospitality Administration offers Associate of Applied Science degrees and Technical Certificates, both offering two specialties: Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts. Graduates who successfully complete the Culinary curriculum and meet American Culinary Federation criteria for membership are eligible for professional licensure as Certified Culinarian. The Culinary Arts degree is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Accrediting Commission.

Students seeking the Baking and Pastry Arts A.A.S. degree may take it as a stand-alone degree, or may add 21 additional credit hours to their Culinary degree and achieve the second endorsement.

Restaurants, hotels, motels, hospitals, nursing homes and private clubs are constantly seeking cooks with the skills necessary to keep their patrons satisfied. Ivy Tech's excellent educational kitchen enables us to train individuals for entry-level positions, such as first, second or sauté cooks, sous chefs, and garde mangers. The goal of Ivy Tech's Culinary Arts education program is to send graduates into the food service industry equipped with manual, theoretical and technical competence and an understanding of the problems of the industry. Information on entrance requirements and availability can be received by contacting the College. Only a limited number of students are accepted into this program each semester.
