Love to Eat? Like to learn how to Cook? Learn to prepare great foods in this hands-on cooking course that meets one time per month for 2 1/2 hours each time.Our eight month program for students 8 to 16 yrs. old, will teach you the skills needed to prepare great foods, e.g., Cutlery Skills; understanding recipes; measuring; chefs' secrets; and Mise en Place.
We offer a variety of classes for adults and children on a wide range of cuisines. These classes are menu specific and are divided into two types:
*Demonstration Classes - You are the audience and you receive copies of the recipes plus consume the food prepared by the chef as you observe him/her during the preparation of the food. We often invite local celebrity chefs to teach classes in our kitchen and have a number of part time chefs in addition to our two full time chefs.
*Hands-on Classes - Limited to 16 people and each participant helps to prepare a challenging menu using our recipes and ingredients under the direction of the chef.
Our menus will include a great variety of foods from American to Mexican, Greek, Asian and more. We will also learn the basics of baking, party foods and desserts.
