Marywood University (Nutrition and Dietetics)

Nutrition and Dietetics is a growing field due to the increased national focus on health, the aging population, and the growing population of health conscious people. We are finding answers to questions about the best diet for people at various stages of the life cycle, the relationship of diet to health, feeding world populations, and the impact of genetics on nutrition. A Marywood education will prepare you for leadership and service in this ever-changing and rapidly growing field.

At Marywood, you'll find knowledgeable and supportive faculty and the opportunity to complete in just four years the typical five year program in nutrition and dietetics. Only a few other programs in the United States have all Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education (CADE) routes to becoming a registered dietitian. These routes include the Didactic Program, the Coordinated Program, and the Dietetic Internship.

In addition to a challenging academic program and opportunities from interdisciplinary research, Marywood students receive extensive experience in supervised practice settings. 85 facilities work cooperatively with our students to give them the experience and training to make them leaders in the field. Some of the facilities include medical centers, wellness programs, and community agencies.
