We are fully accredited by the State Department of Education and the National Council of Accreditation for Teacher Education. Our department has also been approved for the Didactic Program in Dietetics as well as granted developmental accreditation for supervised dietetic practice by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association.

Our department has an outstanding track record in preparing students for admission into graduate and professional schools. Several graduates in Family and Consumer Sciences, nutrition, dietetics, human development and family studies as well as other areas of Family and Consumer Sciences have received their master’s degrees and are making salaries ranging from $25,000 to over $100,000 annually.

Graduates of our department have employment opportunities that include the following areas: Administrators in Hospitals, Hotel Restaurant Management, Dietitians, Public and Church School Teachers, Specialists in Child Development Programs, University and College Professors, County Extension Agents, and many others.
