Manfred Steinfeld is the generous benefactor of Roosevelt University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The program benefits in many ways from Mr. Steinfeld’s knowledge, experience, and generosity. The School prepares students for management and leadership careers in the hospitality-tourism industry. With campuses on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue and in suburban Schaumburg, ours is the only undergraduate and graduate program in Illinois. The hospitality-tourism industry is Chicagoland’s second largest employer, and increased growth in the industry is projected. Employees with academic degrees, work experience, and technology and research skills will have the advantage over unskilled employees. A Roosevelt degree in hospitality and tourism management can provide students with this employment advantage.

The program prepares students in four areas of emphasis: lodging management; food and beverage management; culinary management; and meeting, convention, and exhibition management. Faculty members are committed to students and their professional growth as they integrate classroom study with the lively metropolitan workplace. Program participants may gain experience through one or more of the professional partnerships with leading hotels, restaurants, meeting and convention facilities, associations, tourism offices, airline carriers, and others. No better place exists to learn this industry than Chicago with its rich blend of ethnic cultures, cuisine, languages, art, music, sports, and architecture.
