Schiller International University (Diploma in Catering and Culinary Arts)

This program is a two-semester 30-credit diploma program geared towards the high school graduate who is looking for a career in food service and food production or towards the adult who is looking for a new career in the area of catering and culinary arts.

Students will be trained in the culinary and management skills which they will need in order to work in and run a catering operation. They will also be able to seek work in restaurants and hotels.

The program emphasizes food production and food service as well as management skills including sales and cost control. This is a very hands-on program in which students spend nearly half of their classroom time in lab and real-world situations. These include a fully equipped practice kitchen, computer labs, and participation in professional catering functions.

Students who complete this program can continue their studies and apply these credits towards the Associate Degree.
