Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts curriculum prepares students for positions as chefs in restaurants, hotels, country clubs, or other food establishments. Students are trained in a laboratory kitchen and develop skills in quantity food production, baking and kitchen management. Students also gain important knowledge in nutrition, purchasing, menu design, supervision and cost control.

Courses offered include Food Sanitation and Safety, Nutrition, Basic and Specialty Baking and Pastry, Catering Management and more. Certificate programs are offered in Baking and Pastry and Culinary Training. The Baking and Pastry Certificate program prepares students for careers are pastry chefs, while the Culinary Training Certificate focuses on hands-on experience required for cooks and chefs.
