Viterbo College (Nutrition and Dietetics)
Nutrition programs are not all alike. To be eligible to take the national exam required to become a registered dietitian, students must complete both classroom requirements and requisites in clinical or supervised practice. While most dietetics programs require a fifth year internship to fulfill the supervised practice requirements, our program combines classroom learning and supervised practice into a four year program.
Only about 50 of the dietetics programs nationwide offer this unique combination - and the guarantee that you will be prepared for the national exam upon graduation. This factor provides a considerable financial "jump start" for your career.
The Viterbo dietetics program offers a personal learning experience for every student. Typically, classes with supervised practice hours have less than ten students. This student-teacher ratio is ideal for establishing relationships with instructors who are all registered dietitians possessing a wealth of experience in the field. Support and direction for assignments, course selections and career opportunities are always available from Viterbo faculty and staff.
