Yakima Valley Community College (Nutrition Department)

The Nutrition Department of Yakima Valley Community College can help students whoDairy Products know that they will major or minor in Nutrition, Family & Consumer Sciences, or other related health fields such as Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Sports Medicine, or Health Education. Nutrition is an important course to any discipline dealing with people from birth to geriatrics or students just wanting to learn more on how their bodies work, or how nutrition relates to health and disease.

The YVCC Nutrition Department is part of the Life Science Division. The Nutrition classes are listed in the catalog. In order to reach more students, classes are offered in Yakima and the Grandview campus at a variety of times during the day, evenings and on weekends. Other opportunities to help meet student needs are offering nutrition classes via the World Wide Web and Interactive Television.
