Namibian dish

  Namibian cuisine has the influence of two cultures: By the indigenous people of Namibia such as the Himba, Herero, San; and by the colonial period from Germany, Africa and England.

  Through the years, Namibia people have being changing their cuisine, including a wide range of fruits, nuts, bulbs, leaves, wild plants and hunting. But, a big contribution from the Khoisan has been the domestication of cattle using it milk and meat. Besides, during the colonial period these people discovered the agriculture.

  Among their specialties are Biltong, Rauchfleisch, Potjiekos, and Braai (barbecue) using antelope, ostrich or zebra.
