Asian Cuisines

The Asian cuisine is famous, for some because it generally refers to Indian Cuisine, and for others it refers to Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Thai Cuisine.

For most people, the Asian cuisine is associated to the American Chinese cuisine, but their authentic cuisine is rare, even more for the use of lobster meat; furthermore, in some places known as Chinatowns, the authentic food is not served.

Cuisines of Central Asia:

The Central Asian Cuisine is more known by their homogeneity and their basic methods in the preparation of food using main ingredients for common dishes. Their principal ingredients are mutton, rice, cumin, coriander, cilantro, dill, nuts, tea, dried fruits, and yogurt.

Meal preparation is over fire using open-flame braziers for grilling; kazan, cast-iron cauldrons, for frying, simmering, and steaming; and tandir ovens for roasting and baking. The most common and customary dishes are soups, stews, pilafs, halvah, grilled meats, flatbread, savory pastries, and noodles.

Afghan cuisine was influenced by Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Pakistan cuisines. It has a well-balanced taste that is based on cereals, yogurt, nuts, native vegetables and fresh fruits.
 Tibetan cuisine
Tibet Cuisine is based on crops called tsampa which could be rolled into noodles or steamed dumplings. Its main ingredients are meat, dried, yak, goat, and mutton, vegetables. Some of its principal dishes are Balep korkun and Thenthuk.

  Central Asian Recipes

Cuisines of East Asia:

Most of East Asia has the largest country in the world with many different cuisines. The principal ingredients are rice, noodles, oil, hot and spicy chillies peppers, soy sauces, garlic, ginger, pine nuts, sesame seeds, bread dumplings, meat and vegetable combinations, fish, seafood, and basically its instrument: a wok.

Chinese cuisine is popular around the world. Its main ingredients are fish and chicken. Its dishes are bite-sized pieces of food, so people use chopsticks to pick up and eat them. Some of its principal dishes are Doufu, Steamed Fish, Dim Sum, Lobster, and Eggs In Tea.

Japanese Cuisine was influenced by many cultures around the world that is why it has different dishes and regional specialties. This cuisine is based on rice, noodles, fish, meat, vegetables and tofu, but its typical ingredient is seafood and there are also vegetarian people.

  East Asian Recipes

Cuisines of Southeast Asia:

The Southeast Asia is distinguished by its culture, geography, ecology, ethnic and religion; being this a mark from other diversity of cuisines, becoming an extraordinary.

Their most traditional ingredients are coconut milk, lemon grass, laos (root), palm sugar, local fruits, Asian basil, mint, shrimp paste or fish sauce, varied spices, some chillies, etc.

Indonesian Cuisine was influenced by Malay, India, the Middle East, China, Spain and Portugal cuisines; its main ingredients are rice, fruits, fresh herbsand spices. Its principal dishes are Bakmi, Nasi goring, Mee goreng, Cap Cai, Pau, Bak-Wan, Bak-So, Sa-Po, Lumpia

Thai cuisine is popular for the balance between five fundamental flavors: hot, sour, sweet, salty and bitter. Its main ingredients are fresh herbs, shrimp paste and fish sauce, and rice. Some of its principal dishes are Chok, Khao khai chiao, Khao tom, Chuchi pla kaphong, and others.

  Southeast Asian Recipes

Cuisines of South Asia:

Also known as Desi Cuisine, the South Asian cuisine is mainly popular by the cuisines from India and their principal ingredients are wheat and rice.

Besides, according to their religion, in some countries people do not eat pork because they think it is dirty and in other places do not eat cow because they think it is sacred. So that, they rather eat lamb and mutton, however it is indistinct and may vary if there are coconuts growing in the region or not.
