  The Russian cuisine is very rich and varied due to its multicultural and geographical expansion. Through the time, their principal ingredients have become those called the peasant food produced by the rural population in a harsh climate combining them with fish, poultry, game, mushrooms, berries, honey; and crops of rye, wheat, barley, and millet.

  Because of the territorial expansions, Russia had better influences with more refined culinary techniques; increasing its cuisine with new foodstuffs mixing them with the traditional food of Russia, resulting a variedly cuisine in technique, seasoning, and combination.

  Hence, Russian Cuisine is original, varied and famous for its exotic soups, cabbage schi and solyanka which use assorted meats; and pelmeni, which are small pieces of meat boiled in broth. Their principal ingredients are mushrooms, which are fried, pickled, salted or boiled; bread, made of dozens of wheat varieties; etc.

  Russian people are also well known as hearty drinkers, among their drinks they have to offer the famous Wheat Vodka, Moskovskaya, Stolichnaya, Kvass, etc.
