   Quadrettini: Small flat squares of pasta.

   Quahog: east coast hard-shell clam in American Indian.

   Quatre épices: French term used to refer 4 spice mixtures, commonly pepper, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon or cloves.

   Quenelle: dumpling made of minced meats, vegetables bound with panada. It is used as a garnish.

   Queso fresco: white and salty Mexican fresh cheese similar to the farmer cheese texture.

   Quinoa: food of the ancient Incas and nowadays called as the grain of the future due to its contain of protein more than any grain. It is similar to rice and used as its suitable, as main dish, soups, salads, side dish and desserts.

   Quince: similar to a combination of an apple and a pear, it is used mostly cooked useful in jams, jellies and preserves due to its pectin.

   Quick bread: easy made bread due to the leavener is baking powder or baking soda combined with moisture accelerating the rising process. It is the base of many pastries like muffins, biscuits, popovers, etc.

   Quiche: French pastry shell filled with a custard made of cream, eggs, onions, ham, mushrooms, shellfish, and condiments.

   Quetsch: variety of plum used in desserts and liqueurs.

   Quesadilla: Mexican appetizer made of a tortilla filled with a mixture such as cheese, meat, beans, etc. and then to be folded.
